For thousands of years, human civilization flourished. We thought we had all of the answers. We were wrong. Now, two hundred years after the total destruction of Terra, a hollow shell of humanity remains. It is in this time that one man, Matthew Garrison, on a simple quest of love, unwittingly puts himself in conflict with an alliance of corporations that control our species, with a crew of rogues and misfits on a mission that will force him to question everything it means to be human.
After Terra Year 200 Daniel Craig Books
Sometimes taking a chance for our heart’s desire brings us more than we bargained for. Matthew Garrison is about to learn that in the most unexpected ways.“After Terra: Year 200” is a wild adventure across the reaches of space. But it’s also much, much more. Unlike so many of today’s movies in which characterization takes a back seat to phony CGI eye candy, Daniel Coldspring’s story focuses on character.
And this book has characters aplenty. I’d introduce you, but I think it’s best you meet them for yourself. When you do, say ‘hello’ to Matthew, Jessie, and the gang for me. Now I need to go buy the sequel.

After Terra Year 200 Daniel Craig Books Reviews
Think tongue in cheek first incarnation Star Trek paired with the best Han/Luke/Leia/Chewy moments of Star Wars, throw in some adolescent graphic novel-esque sex with a feminist twist, add a lot of authentically good humor (no easy feat on paper) and a whole lot of satiric social commentary and you have the world of After Terra Year 200. Daniel Craig is an up and comer...This first novel is just a taste of good things to come from a voice that publishers will be fighting over in a few years. Highly recommend to anyone who likes to be on the cutting edge of smart, new literary voices!
This author has great talent of telling a story that keeps you interested and on the edge of your seat. I thoroughly enjoy this book and plan on finishing the series. Wonderful scifi story, Very talented writer. Keep up the great work! Highly recommended!!
Very Enjoyable Read. The character and plot made me think of the Firefly series to the point the song was playing in my mind. Stolen ships, unlikely hero, artifacts, and evil villans makes for a great story.
As someone who has read all three books, I can tell you that After Terra Year 200 lays the foundation for a great series. The dynamic and lovable characters! The beautiful and expansive worlds! The pain and joy that comes with adventure! It's all here, and it all starts with this book.
But this is so much more than just another science fiction series. You'll find humor within these pages. You'll find struggle. Above all, you'll discover what it takes to stand up to oppression, to overcome fear, to embrace a true purpose.
There is much to see.
There is much to do.
And it all starts here.
This sci fi space opera is chock full of completely filled out interesting characters. Take out the cursing and sex and it could have been written by RAH. A spaceship and crew are supposed to steal artifacts from old earth. How they do it will sometimes make you laugh, an others make you cringe. Been reading sci fi for sixty years and it's been a long time since I enjoyed one as much as this one. Try it. You'll like it.
I was a First Read Winner of this book and I really enjoyed it. It was a pretty fast paced book with plenty of interesting characters and a good story line, that had me hooked right from the start. There was lots of action, a touch of romance and an unlikely hero and I can't wait to see what will happen next. Very entertaining read.
When I began "After Terra," I was immediately reminded of two things "Alice in Wonderland" and author Neil Gaiman's "Neverwhere." Both of the aforementioned titles are works of fantasy, but like them, this science fiction tale revolves (mainly) around an unwitting protagonist, the good-hearted albeit naive Matthew Garrison, and his introduction into a strange and exciting world. Right away, it is obvious that this book is a love letter to all things sci-fi, as geeky references abound. I found this to be not at all detrimental to the story; if anything, the influences and little nudges here and there (the cult show "Firefly" is the most apparent) are sure to delight fans of the genre.
The action unfolds two hundred years after the destruction of planet Earth, presumably from wanton consumption of natural resources, war, and other human follies. Since the dissolution of our home planet, the human race has migrated to various terraformed planets, all of which are governed by the dystopian monolith known as the Consortium. A primitive "cropper" (the future's version of our "farmer"), Matthew Garrison leaves his home and ventures onto Neptune in search of a precious ring he hopes to use to ask for his sweetheart's hand in marriage. He arranges to meet up with a shady acquaintance. Naturally, the plan goes awry, and poor Matthew is left "cred-less" and stranded in a frightening cyber landscape. He crosses paths with a gang of anarchic thieves the foul-mouthed, ass-kicking Jessie, the sleazy hacker Obed, and the stoic, half-cyborg Gunther. The gang picks up a few other misfits along the way as they find themselves in far more trouble than they asked for after a failed mission lands them as treasonists and the main enemies of the Consortium's demagogue leader the Baron.
This book is a slim, fast-paced read. There is also a strong rebellious spirit to it that would appeal to your inner contrarian. I'd highly recommend it.
Sometimes taking a chance for our heart’s desire brings us more than we bargained for. Matthew Garrison is about to learn that in the most unexpected ways.
